I was born in Long Beach, California at St. Mary's Hospital (exactly
where I practice now). I attended grade school and high school in Long
Beach but went away to college...all the way to U.S.C. in Los Angeles.
While attending undergraduate studies I analyzed what I enjoyed
doing.
A: I enjoyed people. B: I liked to work with my hands doing such things
as woodworking, crafts and gardening. C: I always loved to work independently.
So the equation is A+B+C = DDS!
I went to U.S.C. dental school, which was hard work. The faculty
was very exacting in their techniques and philosophies. Consequently,
I received a rigorous, challenging and terrific education.
Upon graduation in 1974 I went to work with my dad, one of the best
dentists anywhere. This is where my practical education was greatly
enhanced. We outgrew his small office immediately upon my arrival. We
designed and built the office I now occupy. We have been there since
1976. My dad practiced another 11 years with me and then retired while
still young. I have carried on in the same office.
Dentistry is a complex field, always changing. Excellence in this
profession hinges on staying current. To that end, I take many more
than the required number of continuing education courses. I enjoy being
a member of study clubs such as the Gantes/Yamada
Implant Study Club.
I love the warm and friendly atmosphere of our office and so do
our patients. When patients ask about anything we are planning or doing,
I am always happy to discuss all the details.
We welcome new patients and are happy to help with insurance claims.
